Consistency makes the difference

Ever have those days that feel like it’s all just piling up on top of you (Every day right?). Theres always more house work to be done, the lunches and dinners never stop, you pop on a load of washing and turn around and some how there’s another pile of dirty clothes that have appeared out of no where. Then you contemplate for a split second the idea of becoming a nudest and then realise its not worth it just to save on some washing time.

And the hardest thing is being a stay at home mum with little kids because whenever you’re cleaning one area of your home, the kids are in another area of the house messing it up. I know you can relate, I can hear you nodding from here.

So I just want to remind you that consistency is the key to a fairly tidy home and a fairly organised environment.

As a mum I don’t have big chunks of free time to do things I want or to spend hours in a row cleaning my home, so by taking small moment after small moment to do a little bit here and a little bit there, it actually lightens the load a lot. I know if I leave something for another time, suddenly the task is larger than it should be or my list to do is now huge and my time to do it is still small.

So maybe the constant small effort might not feel like much but it actually makes a big difference.

Also try and teach your Children this as well. Guiding them to be consistent early in life teaches them a great form of discipline growing up and will help them form some good habits for themselves.

So on that note, I’m off to do the folding and put away anything else I see out of place along the way.
